Summer Styles Unveiled at Westchester Fashion Week

by Warren Rosenberg, MetroSports Magazine - April 23, 2022

With the summer sports, recreation and swimming season almost upon us, an enthusiastic crowd gathered at the Salsa Picante Mexican restaurant in White Plains, NY, for the latest edition of Westchester Fashion Week. On display were the new summer collections of several clothing designers including Highly Humble, Ceci Crochet Designs, Mirame Swimwear, Exclusive Designs, and Yoel Carmona. Although not displaying any fashions at this show, designer Silviana Buckley did participate as a model, at left below.

Founded by Joseph Corbalis in 2015, Westchester Fashion Week ihas become a showcase of local area Fashion Designers, Boutiques and Industry Professionals presented in events that include Runway Shows, Vendors, Exhibits and an opening Networking/Media Reception. These shows/events are held throughout the year in venues across Westchester County and New York City and are open to the General Public, Buyers and Media Professionals. The scheduled events highlight Westchester County's diverse Culture and Communities.

Westchester Fashion Week provides both up-and-coming clothing designers and well-established brands the opportunity to display their latest fashions in comfortable settings and at affordable prices allowing an opportunity for those who are not able to attend the more noted New York Fashion Week events in Manhattan. It also provides an opportunity for local models, representing a diverse range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages and body shapes to participate in this hallmark of the fashion industry - the runway show.
