November has been a stellar month for the Sleepy Hollow High School football team, the ‘Horsemen’, who defeated teams from Pleasantville High School on November 1st in the NY State Section 1 Class B  Quarterfinals, Ardsley High School on November 7th in the Section 1 Class B Semifinals and Westlake High School on November 15th in the Section 1 Class B Championship. With this win, the Horsemen captured the Section 1 Class B Sectional Championship for the first time since 1978.

The Sleepy Hollow Horsemen then went to to defeat the Saugerties High School Sawyers at the State Regional Championship game on November 22nd and then the Glens Falls Black Bears in the Class B State Semifinals. This has earned the Horsemen a spot in the State Championship on December 5th and 6th at Syracuse University’s JMA Wireless Dome.
