MetroSports Magazine has been named one of the Top Ten Sports Magazines of 2020 by Feedspot, an online content reader offering a range of services to web-based media. Feedspot’s ranking is determined by a team of over 25 experts whose goal is to discover and rank popular blogs, podcasts, magazines and youtube channels in several niche categories among the millions of outlets on the web. Their ranking is based on relevancy, blog post frequency (freshness), social metrics, domain authority, traffic and many other parameters. The Feedspot research team does extensive research on Google and social media platforms to discover new influencers and uses their proprietary in-house media monitoring tools for discovering media outlets in several niche categories.

Publishing since September 2014, MetroSports Magazine is dedicated to covering the New York metropolitan region's youth, amateur, semi-professional and professional sports. We are committed to bringing our readers the highest quality professional photographic imagery and in-depth coverage of the New York metropolitan region sporting events not covered by local newspapers or other media outlets. We cover the sports that others don't and we're proud to feature the accomplishments of the dedicated and talented athletes at all levels of competitive sport, from the professionals of NASCAR and Formula E racing to the youth in neighborhood sports leagues.

We cover the sports that others don't. Featured in recent issues of MetroSports Magazine were sporting events as diverse as the PBR Bull Riders at Madison Square Garden, the FIA Formula E NYC ePrix on the Brooklyn Waterfront, USA Boxing Metro’s Ringmasters Championship amateur boxing at Madison Square Garden, the International Table Tennis Federation’s first Parkinson’s World Championship, the Ardsley Curling Club’s Big Apple Bonspiel, the Sheridan Fencing Academy’s Spring Fencetastic, Wheelchair Basketball with Westchester Cerebral Palsy, New York Knicks Gaming eSports, New York Strongest Man and Women strength competition, and various sports of New York and Metro region first responders including NYPD Boxing and Hockey, NYC Correction Department Boxing, Hockey and Football, FDNY Gaelic Football and the Tri-State Shields Football to name just a few. It is in the name of this diverse group of athletes that we proudly accept this recognition by Feedspot.
